The brief

The owners wanted a light, airy loft bedroom with an en-suite and good storage in their Montpellier (BS6) home, in keeping with the character of the area.

The challenge

Making the most of the width and the light while adding a staircase that worked neatly with the new layout.

What we did

We built a full-width dormer finished with hanging tiles, fitted lovely aluminium windows and laid natural wooden floors that filled the room with light. It has an en-suite bathroom, plenty of storage and a unique staircase.

The outcome

A really nicely finished loft with loads of light, a private en-suite and a staircase that’s a feature in its own right.

  • Joe and his team did a great job on our loft conversion and 1st floor renovations. Our conversion came with the added complexity of lowering the first-floor ceilings to create enough space for the loft, but Joe took it all in his stride.Throughout the build, Joe was incredibly accommodating when we asked to include additional work, seemingly unfazed by any request and capable of making it a reality. His budgeting and organisation were excellent from start to finish, which no doubt helped us avoid any issues in what was quite an extensive project!It was a pleasure having Joe and his team in our home, they were respectful, hardworking, and clearly took pride in their work.
